Saturday, February 28, 2009 Bearbrick X Kaws Above: The black one's shouting to me. "Buy me!" I used to think KawsBearbrick look ridiculous and goddamn ugly (let alone the actual Kaws) but I guess I've grown accustomed to it's unique features through time. Below: If you see any of these below and you're wondering what they are called. Well, they are called "Qee" by Toy2R. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qee Above: Don't you think they look awfully like the Bearbrick? (That's what others think). Well, I think they are a carbon copy of the Bearbrick and the Trexi fused together: See my theory below =pOf course there are variations of the Trexi and Qee but the posing of the arms and the ears say it all for Qee. BUT I personally prefer the Qee over Trexi. =D Still, my favourite: Bearbricks =p Below are the Simpsons Qee series for Bart and Homer. They'll be having these on sale at Singapore's toycon this year! Posted by BearBrickER at 1:32 AM Monday, February 23, 2009 Last Class Last Supper Saturday was the last day of my vocal class with Huan Jie 老师 and the 4 other vocalists, one who didn't turn up. My upcoming classes will be under VerySinger 非常歌手。Have to attend a related briefing today (I shall have my sleep first!). Above: By the way, the guy on the left is a person whom I have mentioned several times here. He's Wewe! =p Below: Looks like my middle finger's showing but I was doing a twist and somehow my hand turned sideways and there we have it. =p After class we went to get presents for Meiqin's birthday (Jing Dong and my share). After buying, I needed to head back to OB to pass the presents to Huan Jie who was going too. They bid their "final farewell" as classmates to me and we are so gonna meet up again! Well we might still see each other on Saturdays as one of my classes fall on the same day. Waited at OB, then went down to Pacific Coffee Company, then back up to OB again till 5pm+ and my family fetched me to my grandparents' house at Bukit Merah's ABC area. After a while at my grandparents' home, we went down to ABC coffeeshop and I waited till about 7pm. Why? Because Huan Jie 老师 graciously offered to pick me up at ABC and drive me to Pasir Ris (thanks a lot eh!). Attended Meiqin's birthday party and wow there were many different groups of people there. =D Usually I wouldn't eat a lot at a special occasion buffet but the buffet there was scrumptious! Ate a lot of fish (my favourite meat), Mee Goreng, Tofu (tasted like Sapo Tofu), puddings and another favourite of mine, chocolate fudge cake! (tasted like it was from Lana's). Anyway I got to know some new friends from OB, some whom were in Very Singer. Left about 11pm and Huan Jie drove us back. Below: Birthday girl not realizing she'll have a cake smashed into her a while later hehe =p It was quite a long day for me and I was back about 12am+. Also, I had Fish Soup waiting for me at home! (bought back from ABC market). Very plain but nice. =D By the way, went out with Belle and Jolynn last week for a short session of Partyworld KTV hahah and it was fun and tiring. Tiring because Belle didn't sing at all lol. Jolynn's voice was pretty nice! =] Had to go meet Samuel after that so we parted and went our separate ways. Below: I also applied for membership so currently, I have both KBOX and Partyworld KTV membership cards. Posted by BearBrickER at 2:46 AM Saturday, February 21, 2009 The Twisted Jackson Family Tree Below: Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Tito Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Jackie Jackson at the Jackson Family Home in Los Angeles, CA Below: MICHAEL JACKSONThe biggest Jackson family star by a long shot, Michael has sold over 750 million records and is considered by Guinness World Records to be the most successful entertainer of all time. Plus, he's survived a rumored flesh-eating disorder (or at least everything but his nose). Still, he's pretty close to broke and is auctioning off his belongings in April. I hope he saves a few things for Marlon's museum. Below: JERMAINE JACKSONThe bass-playing heartthrob of the group, Jermaine had a brief solo career that included a duet with Pia Zadora. Jermaine is now an international reality-show star. He's been on "Australian Idol," "Celebrity Big Brother UK," and CMT's "Gone Country." Below: JANET JACKSONThe youngest Jackson has starred in two of the all-time coolest '70s and '80s sitcoms: "Good Times" and "Diff'rent Strokes." She could have just stopped there, and her place in history would have been secure. But she made one more legendary TV appearance with Justin Timberlake at Super Bowl XXXVIII. I prefer her in "Good Times." Lately, she's plotting another makeover. Her website is down ("new website coming soon"), and she parted ways with her label, Island Def Jam. Below: LaTOYA JACKSONThe middle daughter hasn't had much success professionally or personally. She released some forgettable singles, famously appeared in Playboy, and followed her brother Jermaine into the reality TV black hole. LaToya made her own "Celebrity Big Brother UK" appearance in 2009, then tried to earn some extra cash by charging fans for a meet-and-greet. Below: MARLON JACKSONAside from his Nigerian slave theme park/Jackson 5 museum resort, Marlon plays the real estate game in Southern California. Real estate prices are probably better in Nigeria than California these days. Below: RANDY JACKSONNo, not that Randy Jackson. This one is the youngest Jackson brother, and he's a long way from "American Idol." He made one album under the name Randy & the Gypsys and now supposedly fixes cars in L.A, according to the New York Post. Below: TITO JACKSONImmortalized by Eddie Murphy ("Tito, get me a tissue"), Tito now plays guitar in his own blues band and manages his sons' group, 3T. According to his website, a new album is expected shortly. Below: JACKIE JACKSONJackie's closest brush with reality-show fame is a rumored affair with Paula Abdul in the '80s. Now he watches his son rap under the name DealZ. Below: REBBIE JACKSONRebbie is the oldest Jackson child. She had a '80s hit with "Centipede" and played Vegas before retiring. She's the only Jackson to maintain a longtime relationship. She's been married to her high school sweetheart since 1968. Other Jacksons take note. Below: JOSEPH JACKSONHe is the controversial patriarch who led his family to musical domination, then watched them slide into strangeness. He was a boxer, a musician, and a strict disciplinarian (to put it mildly). With no more Jacksons left to manage, Joe announced he was opening a boot camp for up-and-coming hip-hop artists. His goal was to "clean it up." Jackson family values, for sure. Posted by BearBrickER at 1:47 AM Friday, February 20, 2009 Super Trio Supreme (Special Singapore Edition!) Feat: Tan Diya, Allan Wu amongst many others! VS Super! Music (O) Station Did not want to waste that space of what used to be a box of finished tissue paper and a speaker stacked on top of it.
Posted by BearBrickER at 1:59 AM Wednesday, February 18, 2009 Refreshing! Below: Just took a bath at 2am hahah. In my very own "beautiful" bathroom. My room has 2 doors: One to GET OUT and the other to the bathroom. Below: Met up with Samuel at Vivo City in the late afternoon. Headed to Terra and tried their food for the 1st time. Above: I would say their food tasted average only. My pasta was totally dry and my baked dory was placed on top of some tasty gravy. It comes with soup and an ice-cream of your choice too. Rating: 3/5 Below: After finishing our ice-cream, we heard comotions outside. It turned out that Fann Wong and Terence Chao were filming a serial at Vivo City. (The skinny woman beside Fann is the MUA aka Make-up-artist). Below: They were filming super near our eating place. (Click to enlarge) I got a Converse bag in the end. Almost wanted to get a Kappa bag but it was kinda small so I gave up the idea. Below: As you can see it's big and spacious enough. (Not able to tell? Scroll down) Below: Here's the full picture of my cell, Skullcandy and a Skullcandy pouch. Below: Can bring it for travelling too! =D
Posted by BearBrickER at 1:59 AM Monday, February 16, 2009 Finally Got This. FINALLY Below: I've not gotten his CD album since he released it. Chanced upon it at Popular just now so I quickly grabbed it while making payment. Didn't know it was quite paper-thin-like. =p Above: Just for tag's sake, it's JJ Lin Jun Jie's 2008 album "Sixology". Posted by BearBrickER at 11:34 PM Just For Laughs Tried to imitate Ah Du singing JJ Lin's Wo Hai Xiang Ta. 很无聊的。录下我装阿杜的声音。唱着林俊杰的“我还想她”。听起来时觉得还能进步的!=D 但这只是为了玩耍吧了。哈哈! Posted by BearBrickER at 3:38 AM Sunday, February 15, 2009 Me Rikey my Skullcandy Titan! In love with it already. Dressed up to fit the code-wear. Below: Huan Jie 老师 training Kim Lee (KL) Above: Am gonna miss this class a lot. Started since last June or so. When I'm gone (gone over to Very Singer), there'll only be 4 left, and every week there's bound to be 1 who's not able to make it. Very seldom the class has its total strength in a single lesson. Haha! (1 more lesson to go!) Below: Jing Dong in the mirror, Qi Cai's in front of me, Ivy didn't make it today. =] Above: Would also like to thank everyone in supporting me for the auditions! Namely Huan Jie 老师 who taught me the ropes to handle the auditions and a teacher by my side for the singing and playing of the piano. Also, would like to thank my "师兄弟"GC Tommy Chan, Belle, Xiao En, Julio & Louis (we accompanied each other throughout the 2nd audition), Jing Dong, Qi Cai, Kim Lee, Ivy, Janice from Very Singer, Wewe from 海蝶(he gave me reassurance hahah!), Fiona from my tagboard haha, my relatives and last but not least, my family! If I have forgotten to put your name in, I apologise and do let me know. Tks! =D And congratulations to my "师兄弟"GC Tommy Chan from Halo Forest's Very Singer Malaysia! He's now an official Song Writer under Touch Music Publishing. 加油喔GC! Below: Photos of Teddy aka "the white one". Posted by BearBrickER at 12:14 AM Friday, February 13, 2009 Finally a Skullcandy of my own! Ti - Series Skullcandy Below: Guess who got the same design as me?! Below: YC Foo! "We took the photos together hehe." Below: Okay whatever I got my own signature too. =D Below: Enough of candids, this gold edition came with gold ear mufflers which can be re-attached easily if you find the colour theme a lil' boring. Below: Personally, I'm sticking to this black-leather mufflers first. Below: The gold mufflers I was telling you about. Above: Skullcandy is literally a fusion of music and fashion! Plus it has incredible good quality sound. Below: It also comes with a silk-like material pouch for the headphones for protection. Posted by BearBrickER at 12:01 AM |
