"Fragrant Rice" lmao

2008 was a beautiful year for me. The recession didn't affect me much though. And I hope this year's predicted tad worse economy won't affect me too much. Besides the recession, it was quite a memorable year for me.

1st of the memorables: I showed my interest in singing to people whom I knew and I went for vocal training. It was the 1st time my parents heard my singing voice in years since 1995 when I was 5 years old. One explaination why I started to express my singing was due to a Turkish friend I had aqquainted in Turkey. Birdal Oylmak is his name and my family and I have met up with him in Singapore too.

2nd memorables: I learnt the methods of music production and editing. Purchasing the audio interface and studio condenser were the basics of the latter.

3rd memorables: I bought a high-grade quality acoustic guitar =D (the previous year 2007 I also bought a professional keyboard 'that's what it's called')

4th memorables: I bought a HTC Diamond (my 1st touch-screen cellphone).

5th memorables: My family and I finally had cable tv (starhub) since we shifted to a private estate in 1999. =]

6th memorables: I've composed many songs during 2008. (be it good or bad ones)

7th memorables: I've visited the Beijing National Stadium or the Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium and stood beside the Water Cube in December.

8th memorables: I took up freelance video editing as a part-time job and am currently still working (work is getting lesser due to studies).

9th memorables: My Youtube and blog view counters went up by quite a notch and I was happy with the results.

10th memorables: I have aqquired a hats & caps collection and fashion sense whereby I seldom leave the house without a hat or cap.

11th memorables: I started to be a collector of Bearbricks aka Be@rBricks.

I'm currently getting two companies, 1st one a stage & events company, the 2nd one a video editing company to sign an attachment proposal form. I'm going for my internship this year! Of course, I'm looking forward to working with the 1st company but due to the New Year 2009 celebrations, the boss had to put everything on hold except his events. In actual fact, I'm very excited to work with them (after knowing they have an events sector on top of a retails sector. XD) The 2nd company is my current company which I'm working freelance for. I find video editing kind'of interesting but a lil' too tedious for me.

I'm waiting for the boss's reply. Looking forward!

Usually school attachments/internships are held during students' school holidays but my course begs to differ and differ vastly I shall mention. Our attachments are held during our 1st semester of school (pretty cool) and that'll be for at least 4 months. hahah! Imagine the amount of knowledge we'll pick up!

And I'm giving a round of applause to welcome 2009!
